School Story:

Thinking I was alone and in private, I was dancing my fool head off, found out later that Orville Endicott was watching through my living room window - he lived next door. I DIED of embarrassment!

Cherly Nelson demonstrating how to wash our hair with waterless shampoo - Eww, it was powder :)

Dixon was driving his dad's ski boat and we were gazing into one another's eyes not realizing that his dad had fallen waaaay back. Needless to say he was P----D when we circled back to pick him up.

Some people just radiate light and positivity and Linda was one of those individuals. I didn't know her well but every encounter with her was special because she always seemed interested in others and her smile was stunning. Wish she could have been with us longer.

I don’t check this site too often but tonight I saw the post about Mr. Hendrix. He was a favorite of mine. This caused me to go through all the deaths throughout the years since we graduated. I saw that Clark’s cause of death was unknown so I tried to answer that.
Overall, I want to reach out to everyone about what I regret. As I looked at each face which were from pictures when life was new and everyone was beautiful, I wished I had known them all. There is a movie/play called “Our Town”. Its protagonist is a girl who dies young and she speaks to the other deceased individuals in the cemetery. They have a conversation about what day they would choose of they could live one day over. The deceased were talking about special days - like birthdays or weddings or Christmases. But the young girl insists she would chose an ordinary day. She would tell people to look at one another, to put down the paper or any other distraction and listen, converse, be there. When I think of that play, I wish I had taken the time to really know other classmates and not the few that I hung out with. I miss the ones I didn’t know. ??

I was just thinking about him the other day. I was in his art class at Hedrick. His kindness and support on a personal level to me as new transfer from California has never been forgotten ??

Clark was my brother-in-law. A wonderful person. He was leaving Jacksonville after sharing a dinner with friends. His pickup was found in a ravine. It looked as if he lost consciousness and the truck slowly left the road and landed in the ravine. The autopsy did not reveal a conclusive cause of death but most likely a sudden cardiac event. Such a loss. This occurred just months before his brother and I were to be married . ????

Life is blessed with my fabulous husband of 26 years! The COVID year along with the fires makes me so grateful for what is important in life. I hope all of those sweet young graduates of 1969 are well and happy.

I don't visit this site very often so just seeing the posting of Candy's death. She was such a precious person. I'm so sad her life was cut short by such a terrible disease?? Wish I had seen her more lately. Remembering her makes me remember being young and new to the area and how she reached out with friendship.

Shocked and saddened. She was beautiful inside and out.
