Dave Davis was a one of a kind.  We met the summer befor the 8th grade and we were close through all the rest of our Medford school years.  Close is an understatement.  He was a friend closer than a brother. Dave was wise for his age and kept Enoch Rodman and I a out of trouble most of the time.  

We have stayed in touch off and on over the years. Each time we met or talked it was as if we had been together continually.  That is becasue Dave was such a special person that he alwasys made whoever he was talking to feel important.

During our highschool years he and his family basicly took me in.  Dave and the family were my refuge which is something I will never be able to repay them for.  Once in lifetime you meet someone who you come to gain a high respect for, not for what they accomplished in life, although that should not be understated, but simply for who they are.  That is who Dave was to me.

He was a lover of his family. I was always impressed how he handled tough situation that life brings.  

And of course my regret is that we could not have stayed closer togheter more often over the years.  I had a dream of retiring in the valley and spending time with Dave and Sue, but now I will have to wait until another turn in life to see this dear friend.

Dave I for one, will miss you until we see you again in eternity.
