Jan Hunt Nelson

After working as a full time Educational Assistant for 27 years, I retired from Medford School District 549c in 2016. My husband (Allen Nelson) & I did some traveling until my husbands illness which took us back home. Last fall (2019) I decided to go back to work (Part time) as a Title 1 teacher for elementary education. My husband is doing better now & I love my job & my life. I look forward in seeing you all this summer at the reunion. I went back to work in 2019 part-time at Kennedy, Elementary and Medford. I work as a title one reading teacher. At the present, my husband is ill and we are unable to travel so I needed to keep busy and which working with children and working at it elementary school is perfect ! I often think of those days in 1969 and 70 when life was much simpler. I’m very thankful for my life and have good memories of many of you, God bless you all love, Jan

I wish I hadn't been so shy. I've gained more confidence through the years, but I thought MSHS was an awesome school and very proud to be a part. I wish I would have gotten involved with more sports, Drama.
My best friends were Connie Cull & Karen von Stein. We loved going to the football games, we went to church together, sang together, prayed together & also loved hanging out at The Ice Cream Palace watching all the cute boys that worked there. I was extremely sad last year when my friend Connie call died with a brain tumor. She was such a good friend and always made me laugh. I always will think of her. I know I’ll see her in heaven someday.

I remember Greg Cull doing those funny car salesmen Stunts during assembly, also remember our football team went to State, also the choir was magnificent! I also remember walking to classes in the winter freezing!
